NSS Day Celebrations at Shri Balaji Mahila P.G. College

On September 24, 2024, Shri Balaji Mahila P.G. College celebrated the Foundation Day of the National Service Scheme (NSS) with enthusiasm and dedication. The event marked the inauguration of the first NSS unit in the college, with the participation of students who showcased their commitment to social responsibility.

As part of the celebration, the girls from the NSS unit organized a cleanliness drive along the main road from Mahant Kishorepuri Hospital to Late Mahant Ganeshpuri Kanya Uchchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya. The volunteers took a positive step towards environmental protection and collected around 2.5 kg of this type of waste with the aim of stopping the use of single-use plastic and polythene and also created awareness among shopkeepers and devotees visiting the temple.

Mahant Dr.Nareshpuri Maharaj graced the event, congratulating the students on the successful completion of the program. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and urged everyone to work towards a plastic-free environment. His blessings and inspiring words encouraged the girls to continue their efforts toward community service and environmental sustainability.

The program left participants and attendees feeling motivated to contribute toward building a cleaner and greener society, in alignment with the core values of the NSS.
