Community Service & Social Responsibility

• Purpose: The main objective is to instill a sense of social service among students. Through engaging students in community service, we strive to make them responsible citizens.
• Social Awareness: The aim is to spread social awareness among students, making them sensitive to various social issues like poverty, education, health, and cleanliness.
• Community Service: Students actively participate in community service and take part in various social initiatives, such as cleanliness drives in villages, tree plantation, and organizing health camps.
• Personality Development: This program helps students develop leadership skills, teamwork, and organizational abilities, which play a crucial role in their personality development
• Sense of Service: Students are encouraged to experience that uplifting society is a personal responsibility.
• Cleanliness Campaign: Students participate in cleanliness campaigns, engaging in activities such as cleaning villages and towns, and raising awareness about the importance of hygiene.
• Tree Plantation: Programs are organized to encourage environmental conservation, where students plant trees and inspire others to protect the environment.
• Education Program: Students are encouraged to promote literacy by educating nearby uneducated or under-educated individuals, aiming to raise the educational level within the community.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

At Shri Balaji Mahila P.G. College, we are proud to have the National Service Scheme (NSS). It started as a way to honor Mahatma Gandhi and his strong belief in the power of youth. The NSS connects students with society and helps them learn about public welfare by being actively involved in different projects.

Through NSS, students not only focus on their studies but also learn how important it is to give back to the community. This helps them grow into responsible, capable, and patriotic citizens. Some of the activities include promoting national unity, raising awareness about AIDS, environmental protection, and women’s development. NSS also works on projects like literacy programs, adopting colonies, and sharing information about government development schemes. This program encourages students to become helpful and active members of society!
